Hi,
I tested the latest grub (0.97, according to the grub splash screen. The
installed version is 1.98~20091212-2) with the latest kernels available.
First, I installed the package grub-yeeloong.
Later, after installing a new GNU/Linux image, I had to run:
dpkg-reconfigure grub-yeeloong
Then, I rebooted the system and typed at the "PMON>" prompt:
boot (wd0,0)/boot/grub.elf
The result is as following:
A/ Working (booting complete and fully functional system)
gNewsense GNU/Linux, with Linux 2.6.27.1
B/ Non working (kernel panic or frozen screen, e.g. just after the tux
or Linux-libre icon):
gNewsense GNU/Linux, with Linux 2.6.32.2-libre-lemote
gNewsense GNU/Linux, with Linux 2.6.32.1-libre-lemote
gNewsense GNU/Linux, with Linux 2.6.32-libre-lemote
gNewsense GNU/Linux, with Linux 2.6.32-libre
gNewsense GNU/Linux, with Linux 2.6.31.6-libre1
Regards,
Samy
