re: help in implementing IrDA & Gnokii

Hi all,

I connected a Sweex IrDA USB to my USB 1.1 port.

Mandrake 10.0 Linux recognize it as "UHCI Host Controller (1) > IRExpress USB 
IrDA Controller ". i.e. Mandrake knows IrDA.

Question: How to check if IrDA is working?

I installed gnokii-0.6.0-1.i386.rpm /  gnokii-debuginfo-0.6.0-1.i386.rpm /  
gnokii-xgnokii-0.6.0-1.i386.rpm

Started xgnokii and received (as root):

Gnokii serial_open:tcgetattr: Input/output error
Couldn't open FBUS device: Illegal seek
GSM/FBUS init failed!

Gtk-CRITICAL **: file gtkmain.c: line 582 (gtk_main_quit): assertion 
`main_loops != NULL' failed.

What to do here?

I like to control the data of my Nokia 6610 under Linux!
