Thanks for your help.

The problem was solved by using "PC suite".
Then I get AT mode and /dev/ttyACM0 to work with n52. Very exciting!

I did not get series40 mode to work:
gnokii --identify

Couldn't read /home/jberg/.config/gnokii/config config file.
Couldn't read /etc/xdg/gnokii/config config file.
Couldn't read /root/.gnokiirc config file.
