I don't think faking history is a good idea in general.  There is no
"now or later" - it's all later.  I want to know what really happened,
not what some black-box tool decided might have happened in arch terms,
according to some heuristics that may or may not map naturally from some
legacy rcs.  That's a quagmire, IMO.
