What's really needed here is a fresh review of the kernel development
processes -- figuring out what are development lines and which are
selections from (i.e. tags) of development lines and which are
intended to be related to which others and in which ways....  My last
review is now a couple years old.

An eager volunteer could think of this as a practice run for what it
would be like to do `arch consulting' about how to convert an existing
shop to arch.
