I used reiserfs (v3) for most things for quite a while, without
significant incidents.  I was also using LVM, and that changed format
under me, and after recovering from that, I've been using ext3 for
everything (without LVM).

reiserfs has some nice features, and interesting design goals.  It
deserves to stay around, if only for that.  Arch shouldn't rely on it,
though.
