[Gnu-arch-users] 1.1-pre7 commit bug?

I just installed 1.1-pre7.  I tried to do a file-specified commit
with it and ended up with this:

% tla commit -L "stuff" -- FileToCommit.C
M  FileToCommit.C
Error calling `vu_read' for descriptor -1 (Invalid argument)
PANIC: I/O error

Any ideas?
