No, I suspect it pertains to applying patches prepared outside of BK
that rename (via (roughly) delete/add in diff(1)-speak). But,
whatever. Who cares. It's BK. BK is an outdated design from another
era. A desperate attempt to take some work done at sun and leverage
it into a startup a decade later. Big whup. ( :-)! )

Feverish Scientist: OK... let's see.... we have SCCS.... now, let's
   make it DISTRIBUTED! BWAHAHA!

Sober lab assistant: Sir, you do realize that the SCCS design comes
from another era and is entirely inappropriate for our goals?
Perhaps it would save $10M or so to start over from a simpler
   starting point.

Feverish Scientist: Shut up you fool and hand me the scapel.
