I don't have a problem with that.

I agree that we should think about having a default arrangement such
as (names containing `_' are variables to be set in .arch-params)

arch_user_root
arch_user_archives=$arch_user_root/archives
arch_user_library=$arch_user_root/library
arch_user_mirrors=$arch_user_root/mirrors
arch_user_projects=$arch_user_root/projects

with arch_user_root being mandatory, and very likely
arch_user_projects not being used much.
