It doesn't matter -- this functionality is (ultimately) correct interactively as well (especially with the feature [BUG] I sent that helps make sure you only commit from the intended directory). Interactively, log-only commits are a handy interface to ancillary automated processes -- bug goo being a fine example. That the transactions with these external agents get recorded in revision history is just cake to that icing. -t
