You should never rename archives either.

And when you 'recreate' project, you must not use a name
you have used before.

Since this is such a common request/problem, I suggest
that people create experimental archives named after
the date/time for playing around.  Only when you are vaguely
happy with your source, should you merge/replay it into another
permanent archive, and prune the logs of the experiment
archive.   Then and only then can you delete the experimental
archive.

This is particularly important for tutorials.  People following
tutorials don't want to be haunted by the name they chose
for the rest of time.
