That is because I decided to see what it would be like and switched
to using Evolution on a fully up to date Fedora box running on 
fairly popular Dell hardware.

For whatever reason, Evolution simply fails to deliver list mail
if I use the reply button.

It also crashes about once per week.  It sometimes displays the
edit cursor inaccurately.  It treats pasting into a document
very poorly.   It lacks a set of text editing commands suitable
for editing plain-text messages.  It sometimes wraps lines for
no good reason whatsoever.  It provides extremely awkward facilities
for searching the list of message headers in each folder.  It
does strange things with drag and drop, especially into the header
fields of a message.  I could go on.

I've taken to using Emacs to write longer messages and then paste
them into an Evolution window (and hope that this particular paste
won't crash it).

Presumably Gnomes transition to mono will fix all this, right?
