When I retyped the line '     \context ChordNames=one \subst' 
everything worked fine. Someway you had managed to insert some 
invisible character on that line.

This bug was solved in 1.3.99!

This is another bug with the new font selection scheme.
All \mark:s are typeset using the font called 'mark'
which is translated to a font with only numbers in it.
The old implementation contained a few lines of code 
that change the font to 'large' if the argument was
not entirely numeric. You can fix the problem by
replacing 'number' by 'roman' on the line at the 
top of font.scm beginning with '(mark'
