I'm not sure if this is the best place to ask this question,
but I thought I'd try: I have spreadsheet data in comma-separated
form (gnumeric csv output) that I'm trying to load into a
program that takes only tab separated data. (Only have access to
a Mac at the moment). The only tabs I can produce in Emacs (remotely)
are strings of single spaces rather than indivisible long spaces (moving
the cursor goes space by space rather than jumping tab to tab).
What is puzzling is that I have a file with long tab spaces embedded,
but I have no idea of how to reproduce this. (The spreadsheet
program I have access to recognizes only these long tabs, not
multiple single spaces.)
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
David Romano
