Thanks a lot Raul. I had a fast look at the branch. 

Since this a very useful feature for many people, can you also add a section
in the tutorials chapter, and start from downloading an image and describing
how to run this script to make a nice RGB image and optimize the parameters? 

In fact, if you like, it can be added as a more general tutorial which will
include the
