[open-cobol-list] Status of Open Cobol

I have been following the open Cobol mailing list to try to keep abreast of
the progress of the compiler.  I have failed.  Too many trees and not enough
forest.

Could some of you guys please post a quick summary of where you believe Open
Cobol is as a usable compiler.  I'm not interested in a complete list of
what has been done and what features still remain to be done.

I just want some gut feel of how close open cobol is to being a usable
compiler.
