Hi GNUe friends
The last 3-4 weeks I was playing with the new GNUe application server.
The result of this time is:
o A super simple sample business information system [1]
o A manual of how to write a GNUe appserver application [2]
Interestingly, the main problems I experienced, where not the technical
ones. For that reason, I asked Reinhard (one of the GNUe application
server core developer) for a question/answer interview. Here a list of
questions among which I will bring up a few during the interview:
o how to organise a project
o how to implement reliability
o how to implement extensibility
o how to organise your modules, business classes
o how to use transactions correctly
o much more which comes to light while your doing it
This interview will probably happen next week (week 16), offline ;) I will
write down the interview and it will be published under the free GNU
documentation licence, as Reinhard requested.
So, if you have any questions to ask Reinhard, please send them in.
Also, if you have any links to good literature, you might want to put it
on the gnuenterprise wiki [3].
Kind regards.
Sacha Schlegel
