The more I think about it, the more I think it doesn't beloong in the
engine. I wrote it as an experiment, and it turned out interesting enough
that I thought I might analyze it and send it in. It wasn't exactly a
complex patch...
The only real reason to consider it, I believe, is that it might well be
faster than the owl code with some work. I'm inclined to think it should
be left out anyway, though.
