One easy way is the twogtp scripts, in the interface/gtp_examples
directory (you'll need a copy of the source). They should be relatively
well documented, and will work so long as you have perl / python
installed. You can use --verbose 2 to get board output as it plays, or
you can use the --sgffile option to save copies for later review.
As for learning go, I would recommend against watching gnugo play itself.
Playing against it yourself would be better, or playing other people; if
you want to watch games, I recommend finding a collection of professional
games to review. There are some available on the web, though I don't have
links handy.
