You didn't specify which version of GNU Go you are trying
to compile, but I don't think the -lang-c89 option is used
any more. So I think you are trying to compile an older
version.
What version of GNU Go are you trying to compile?
Did you try compiling GNU Go 3.6 or 3.7.x?
