[Gnumed-bugs] (no subject)

Hi
I recently downloaded your Gnu-Med programme onto my PC. I actually intend to use it to keep records of my animals - worming, fleas, ops, treatment etc.
However I cannot even get past the "log in" box where I enter a user-name and a password. Any ideas?

I'm running Ubuntu but do be warned, I'm VERY new to Linux/Ubuntu having been spoon fed by Windows (3.1, 95, 98, XP and Vista) over the years so I could well be not/doing something obvious to more experienced users.
