I once made a proposal that would have fixed all those installation woes. I
make it once again:
Any developer who submits a "breaking" change to the database schema has the
duty of submitting a functional database dump of a monolithic configuration
to CVS as well, so that newbies can simply install and configure the whole
backend with a simple single restore statement.
Such dumps have standard permissions and no developer specific user names/
permissions.
Any reasons why not to do it?
