That doesn't depend on views being there or not. One could just as well send the view definition as the query with the same net result... Karsten
yes , just a select on a big join.I think I did do something like that when I was playing with the omniorb PIDS adapter for gnumed demographics backend; also something about using a prepared query for a large join for faster query processing.
