Whoa !! OK, fine...

Not the best thing technically (just imagine OSCAR would want
to change storage mechanisms - it will still sit on some
filesystem, though). However, we can cope with that if there's
no way around having a raw_path_net table for staging.
Eventually, if we do end up using this we should at least
notify the OSCAR people.
