Not quite yet. The plan is to have that in the next iteration.
We do use a dispatcher framework for notifying on DB changes
but fetching data from the backend is not yet done in a
separate thread. I start having ideas on how to do it.
It would greatly help if Horst might eventually convince
himself to just dump his code somewhere for inspection.
