In wx2.4 the boxes are just one line high. They
expand/shrink as text one types wraps around. The shrinking
sometimes happens two or three characters too early for
unknown reasons but re-adjusts as soon as another character
is typed in.

I have been unable to make inline non-modal windows work
reliably so have resorted to using modal ones. I don't like
that either but at least I got it to work that way.
