You mean 'in principle' or at the moment?
afaik, GNUmed is Postgresql-only and I do not see anything wrong in
running with SQLite for single-users?
At least, GNUmed+sqlalchemy would provide for other ('real') DBMSs.
Would it be worth for me to add in the wiki somewhere that the project built itself around Postgresql on account of Postgresql strengths (including its referential integrity, triggers and a number of other considerations of which I am less familiar) and that, for this and other reasons, there is no adequate basis to override this choice?
