Ah, OK. Now, you are confusing client and server. Each can be installed on a 
machine
without requiring the other. Some dependancies overlap (such as 
postgresql-client) some
do not (such as gnuplot in gnumed-client vs. postgresql in gnumed-server). This 
is the
reason why

> mailx postgresql postgresql-client.

are only installed by the *server* part -- the client simply does not
need them (except postgresql-client).

Well, there is no debian package gnumed-server so how could they ?

Well, and again the log file is incomplete. Witness this:

There is something missing from this line !

Also witness these lines:
