Absolutely, that's the Poor Man's GNUmed invoicing at the
moment and I dare say you are riding the bleeding edge !

Exactly, which is why I'd like to interface GNUmed to some
established accounting/invoicing solution. It'd be rather
stupid to try to rewrite this sort of thing.

By all means do report on your findings !  I would be more
than happy to see GNUmed gaining an invoicing interface
sooner rather than later.
