Are you saying that in order for the bootstrapper to be able to autoconnect
- the human runs as root and runs the bootstrapper
- the bootstrapper does su to postgres
- as (now) postgres, the autoconnect is possible
on Linux and Windows *without* need for the IDENT line
on Mac only *with* an IDENT line
and therefore on wiki page

section 5 is also needed for Mac if root (or postgres) are to autoconnect?
