Does it work for you?
I have all my music in a different partition than home. It's mounted
on "/mnt/data":
drwxrwx--- 12 root plugdev 32768 1970-01-01 01:00 data
"plugdev" is a group, to which my user belongs. I have read and write access
to that directory (and subdirs).
However, with /mnt/data as root dir, I can only make it work with user = root.
Can you reproduce this? If yes, any workaround besides starting the daemon as
root?
