Are you sure that the relevant files (GSArray.m / NSArray.m) were recompiled?
I have GNUstep Make configured for GCC 4.2, but -base buit with:
$ gmake CC=clang OBJCFLAGS='-fobjc-nonfragile-abi -fblocks'
When I run your test program, I get this:
$ ./obj/test
2011-02-28 13:24:21.996 test[1157] 0 - a
2011-02-28 13:24:21.999 test[1157] 1 - b
2011-02-28 13:24:21.999 test[1157] 2 - c
