Thank you for providing the file. (BTW, it looks very beautiful, I
really like your user interfaces)

Now we got a real problem, I am not able to reproduce the issue you are
seeing. I did update base and gui and recompiled them today. I did not
select any debugging option directly, but I wouldn't be surprised to
find that I have set something years ago that will compile all GNUstep
stuff in debug mode.
I could try to build gui with "strip=yes", if that is the setup you are
using.
