Yo All!
gpsprof can now do heatmap plots of the satellties your GPS sees.
Attached is a 24 hour plot from a roof top mounted GPS antenna connected
to a u-blox 8. You can see the sky track each sat makes. You can see
that the signal from some sats is stronger than others.
The antenna is at 44 N, surprising to see some GPS sats over the north
pole!
The attached plot showed all sats seen, using the 'polar' formatter.
There are also ;polareused' and 'polarunused' options to plot, you
guessed, only the used or unsed sats. Toggling between the two plots
gives you an idea of how your GPS selects sats to use.
