Sorry, I'm not a Python guy and gps3 is not from the gpsd project. gpsd
has perfectly ine native Python client, and you can get help for that
here on gpsd-users.

Almost mo GPS devices provides that info, so gpsd has nothing to pass on
to any client, Python or otherwise.
What is really important is the Signal to Noise Ratio (SNR). Almost
all GPS pass that on and gpsd reports it in the SKY JSON report.
