Dear Gary I use in /etc/systemd/system/gpsd.service [Unit] Description=GPS (Global Positioning System) Daemon Requires=gpsd.socket # Needed with chrony SOCK refclock After=chronyd.service [Service] EnvironmentFile=-/etc/default/gpsd EnvironmentFile=-/etc/sysconfig/gpsd ExecStart=/usr/local/sbin/gpsd -N $GPSD_OPTIONS $OPTIONS $DEVICES [Install] WantedBy=multi-user.target Also=gpsd.socket In /etc/default/gpsd I have: START_DAEMON="true" GPSD_OPTIONS="-n" DEVICES="/dev/ttyS0" USBAUTO="false" GPSD_SOCKET="/var/run/gpsd.sock"Both files I had to create them manually, they were not included in the scons install routine.
