[gpsd-users] Configure GPS when using GPSD

I have ann embedded application where gpsd is used with exactly one gps model.  I need to send it some config statements so that i get the proper sentences from nmea.  What is the recommended way to do that knowing gpsd wants to be device neutral?

Is there some sort of init file? ( i know in reading this is exactly what you dont want in gpsd for true zero conf goals)
