I did that by making a gray postscript page, importing it with PSPIC,
moving back to the top of the page, and overprinting. It would seem to be
something that would be a wonderful feature ... being able to specify a
background (either a percent fill level, or a postscript image directly).
Doing the way I did, well, it seemed a huge kluge.
