I can recompile, as long as the code is not too specific for Linux. I use
FreeBSD.
I think your observation that something is not right is correct. I used the
HTML output
flag a couple of years ago, and I had no problem formatting equations delimited
the .EQ and .EN.
So something clearly has changed in the mean while the prevents it from working
properly.
Yes, it would be helpful for you to collect your "tricks and tips" for groff
HTML output.
