i have added .pl 9999i and it works so far but now i see
^h^h^h^h in front of my table. I can fix that with "cut -b5-"
or  tr -d "\b" but i am confused.
(i did not notice it before since i used | more to show the
output but xmessage is something different).

is this intended ?
