The issue occurs between the adjacent commits

The log message by Bernd had simply been "Add new tmac file pdfpic.tmac and 
document this" but there are many differences on

git diff b7441aee00f26cb2f68094d24eae9cc72eb0c678 
9d885c6b342f71594af5d45f37ce65c121641e25

I don't know if these changes had been necessary, anyway they might be the 
problem here...
