For users who only follow the official Guile releases, it would look
strange simultaneously to announce that GH is deprecated, and to
announce that the GH interface has been extended!  This risks giving
mixed signals.

Users who follow CVS in between official releases are probably capable
enough to cope with the removal (in 1.6.0) of things that have been
added to GH since 1.4.

Anything that we do remove for this reason, though, we should be
careful not to forget when doing the exercise of identifying things in
GH that need to be copied in some way in the scm interface.
