It's not dead, it's only sleeping! 

Rob Browning (address@hidden) did a fair amount of work in
cleaning up hobbit and getting it ready for integration with current
guile... working with the module system more smoothly, handling macros
properly, etc.  I'm cc:ing him because he tends to let guile-user mail
pile up. 

I know he's pretty busy getting guile-1.6 released, but I know that
getting the profiler and compiler working is on his todo list after that
happens.
