Okay, I've done it and uploaded the files and snapshots.  It required
changing nearly all of the CWEB files, so I'm not attaching a tarball.

I'm sorry about the errors.  This is what porting is like, I'm afraid.
I've been meaning to ask the system administrator here to update GCC, but
it will take at least a couple of days for him to do it.  With a bit of
luck, we should be able to get 3DLDF installed today.  However, the lab
closes at 8:00 PM, and there's nowhere else I can work until tomorrow.
