reserved word

I have write a plugin module to detect the device of the CDROM on 
our linux machine.
this plugin output the variable devicecd with the value of the device
I do the same thing for the zip device.

I got the following message

cfengine:stp15137::275: Warning: Redefinition of macro devicecd=/dev/hdc

Is devicecd a reseved variable?
I got no problem with the variable devicezip i output from the plugin
