Certainly use can use failover=classname in copy to define a class that
activates failover rules, but that does not seem to address the main
point in your question that is confusing everyone: why will machines
"lose changes to their configs"? Cfengine does not keep track of changes
that you make, it tries to correct changes that might have occurred.
It will, of course, continue to do that regardless of whether it has
the very latest configuration file.
