2.1.8 problems on Mac OS 10.3.4

Hi,

I got cfengine to compile against static libs for Berkeley and openssl 
that I built in /usr/local, but when I run it, it hangs just after it 
prints out:

cfengine:: Strong authentication of server=linux9 connection confirmed

I get no errors in the log on the server or on the client.  When I run 
ktrace cfagent the end of the trace file looks like:
