Hi,
Looked again at the IE/emacs 'integration' and found it didn't work with
%1 in the registry entries. With %L instead of %1 it worked again on my
laptop with W2K, IE 5.5 and ntemacs 21.1. The registry export I use is:
-----8<-----
REGEDIT4
[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\htmlfile\shell\Edit\command]
@="C:\\emacs\\bin\\gnuclientw.exe -q -F \"%L\""
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Default HTML
Editor\shell\edit\command]
@="C:\\emacs\\bin\\gnuclientw.exe -q -F \"%L\""
-----8<-----
Cheers,
Karel

this is not easy.
I do indeed have a "edit with gnuclientw" menuitem on the File window.
When I click on it nothing happens. When I return the program setting
to
notepad, then that menu item becomes "edit with notepad" and works.
I tried an alternate syntax that I copied from another .reg file
@=""d:\\apps\\emacs\\gnuserv\\gnuclientw.exe" -q -F "%1""
and got exactly the same lack of response.
