[h-e-w] Help - Errors compiling with emacs possibly due to '/'

Hi,

I've tried searching the various FAQs and mailing list archives for an
answer to this problem, but I haven't found any help. I hope someone
can help.

Whenever I try and compile from within Emacs I get the following type
of error:

---Start Error
cd e:/cygwin/home/unknown/
cd e:/cygwin/home/unknown/ && gcc -c -gnatq e:/cygwin/home/unknown/test.adb
Too many parameters - /CYGWIN

Compilation finished at Fri Mar 08 22:43:20
---End Error

It looks like the '/'s should be converted to '\'s, but aren't.

I'm compiling using ada-mode (ACT Revision 1.43), "GNU Emacs 21.1.1
(i386-msvc-windows95.1111) of 2001-10-22 on buffy" and Gnat 3.13p.

I have the following in my .emacs:

; Set shell
;; For the interactive shell
(setq explicit-shell-file-name "cmdproxy.exe")

;; For subprocesses invoked via the shell (e.g., "shell -c command")
(setq shell-file-name "e:/cygwin/emacs-21.1/bin/cmdproxy.exe")

Any help/ pointers much appreciated.

Cheers,
Hambut
