I'm sorry if this paragraph is confusing, I meant (though not really 
advocating) that the comments could be included in the csv file and then 
removed with say sed, if anyone can still remember how to use it.

Alternativly the output format for glpk could be XML. The XML can be converted, 
using a rich variety of modern tools to produce many formats including csv.
